My Something Local: Check

I guess I am off to a great start. I got my something local. So, I am checking that off my list! I took a historical tour here before it got cold. We are getting ready to move and I came across the brochure about this tour. It was about a very special place we stopped on our tour. After finding the brochure, I decided to go to this special place and make a purchase. It is a very American thing too.. It is not my preference personally even though it is something I purchase quite often not knowing it was native to my area. I'm quite sure many of you keep it on hand at home. It is something you either like or don't like, yet it has a special place in American history...Most of you have experienced it in your life. I am having so much fun with this. Since, I am new to NC. it is a bit of a learning thing for me about my area. Happy scavenging ladies!

Oh - I had thought that something local meant we were to get something knitting related that was made locally. I guess I misunderstood, but that means I have a lot more options open for finding something local. I wonder if that would include local souvenirs from events that are exlusive to an area?

I just referred to rule 6. on the blog here...
6) The gift for at least four of the categories must be knitting/fiber related. Soaps/candies/tea or other goodies are welcome, but the bulk of your package should be knitting goodness. Other than that we can go wild with imagination!
